Berlin's GeneralMind Raises $12M for AI Autopilot

A Berlin-based AI startup is tackling one of the most persistent problems in modern business: the messy gap between ERP systems and reality. Just months after its founding, GeneralMind has closed a $12 million pre-seed funding round to scale its AI autopilot for supply chain processes across Europe.

According to Startbase, the funding round was led by prominent venture capital firms including Lakestar, Leo Capital, Lucid Capital, Heliad, and BOOOM, with additional backing from experienced angel investors such as Alexander Kudlich, Jens Urbaniak, Samir Sood, and Vishal Lugani. The round ranks among the largest pre-seed financings in Europe in recent years.

Despite having expensive ERP systems in place, many companies still rely on unstructured emails, spreadsheets, and manual coordination to manage their supply chains. This digital patchwork creates bottlenecks, errors, and delays. GeneralMind's solution is what they call an "AI System of Action" that autonomously handles recurring, complex workflows while remaining supervised by humans.

"Companies often know exactly where things are breaking down, but fail at the operational execution," explains CEO Tushar Ahluwalia. "With GeneralMind, we solve exactly this problem. Our AI takes over processes end to end – not a copilot, but an autopilot with human oversight."

The platform automatically processes incoming tasks, coordinates with multiple internal and external stakeholders, ensures deadlines are met, and enables faster decision-making. Applications span procurement, sales, and invoice processing.

The technology is already in use by NASDAQ, MDAX, and SDAX listed companies. GeneralMind operates from its headquarters in Berlin and maintains an additional location in Bangalore.
