Berlin's Zeeg Secures €1.1M for AI Booking Platform

Berlin-based SaaS startup Zeeg has secured €1.1 million in pre-seed funding to advance its AI-powered scheduling and CRM platform. According to a press release from High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), the lead investor, together with Backbone Ventures, is backing the 2023-founded company's vision of combining appointment booking with customer relationship management—all while keeping data on German servers.

The timing couldn't be better. More than half of German companies are reconsidering their cloud strategies due to new regulations, geopolitical shifts, and cybersecurity concerns. While hyperscalers still dominate infrastructure, European providers can now compete in business software—and Zeeg is proving exactly that.

Here's what makes Zeeg different: every booked appointment automatically becomes a complete CRM entry. Contact details, company information, and interaction history are captured without manual data entry or jumping between tools. Think of it as your calendar and customer database having a seamless conversation, eliminating the friction that typically exists between scheduling and sales workflows.

With the fresh capital, Zeeg is developing AI assistants for pre-sales processes. These intelligent agents qualify incoming leads during the booking process itself, shortening sales cycles and reducing customer acquisition costs. The goal is straightforward: help sales teams close more deals from the same number of appointments through smart automation working quietly in the background.

"European companies need solutions that take their technological and regulatory requirements seriously," explains co-founder Mohammad Moghaddas. "Our vision is a booking CRM that not only runs on German servers but also creates real value through AI."

The startup has already won over major clients like Enpal, which coordinates hundreds of heat pump installations daily. Patricia Broilo, Director of Venture Development at Enpal, highlights Zeeg's partnership approach: "The team understands how we work and implements changes directly."

After initially bootstrapping, co-founder Florian Horbach says the funding enables the next growth phase: "Companies don't want tool islands—they want seamless processes."

Björn Sykora, Principal at HTGF, emphasizes Zeeg's market potential across industries, while Philippe Bernet from Backbone Ventures praises the founders' customer instincts and the platform's competitive advantage: data sovereignty without feature compromises.
