Berlin-based climate technology startup Climatiq has successfully closed a €10 million Series A funding round, according to information from inVenture CAPITAL. The investment will fuel the company's expansion of AI capabilities to provide automated emission calculations for business activities, products, and suppliers.
Founded in 2021, Climatiq has positioned itself as a leader in carbon intelligence infrastructure, offering a scientifically-verified database containing over 200,000 emission conversion factors. The startup's intelligent APIs integrate seamlessly into existing enterprise software, enabling companies to monitor and analyze greenhouse gas emissions in real-time.
"Companies are demanding carbon transparency across all business areas – from strategy and planning to production and sales – not just within CSR teams," said Hessam Lavi, co-founder and CEO of Climatiq.
The funding round was led by Alstin Capital, with participation from existing investors Singular and Cherry Ventures. This brings Climatiq's total funding to €17.7 million since inception.
The Berlin startup's approach addresses the growing need for integrated climate solutions across all business sectors. By embedding emission data directly into existing enterprise software, companies can work more effectively toward climate goals while meeting regulatory requirements.
With this fresh capital injection, Climatiq is well-positioned to expand its market presence and forge new partnerships with leading ERP and supply chain management providers. The integration of climate data into business decisions is increasingly becoming standard practice, positioning companies like Climatiq as essential infrastructure providers.
