HelloBetter, a leading digital mental health company based in Berlin and Hamburg, has secured over six million euros in funding to fuel its international expansion and AI development. According to the company's press release, the financing round was led by Mutuelles Impact – managed by XAnge – with participation from MMV, HealthCap, Expon, and DvH Ventures.

This latest funding brings HelloBetter's total financing to 31 million euros and follows a recent 3 million euro investment for developing AI-powered mental health solutions.

"This funding will enable us to do three things: strengthen HelloBetter's brand awareness as a mental health provider in Germany, introduce new, innovative products, and bring our proven digital mental health solutions to the French market with support from XAnge and its 65 Mutuelles partners," said Hannes Klöpper, CEO and co-founder of HelloBetter.

The company's expansion builds upon its successful foundation of evidence-based digital therapies. HelloBetter currently offers ten online therapy programs for various mental health conditions, with six officially approved by Germany's Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM). These programs have already benefited more than 120,000 patients.

Through strategic partnerships with French mutual insurance companies, HelloBetter aims to make its digital mental health solutions accessible to a broad user base in France – its first venture outside the DACH region. The company also plans to obtain regulatory approval from the Haute Autorité de Santé (HAS) to ensure nationwide reimbursement in France.
