Berlin-based Synthflow AI just closed a $20 million Series A round to accelerate its mission of making enterprise voice AI accessible to everyone. The funding, led by venture capital firm Accel with participation from Atlantic Labs and Singular, brings the company's total funding to $30 million since its 2023 launch.
The timing couldn't be better. Voice AI technology has hit a sweet spot where it's finally viable for businesses to deploy AI voice agents at scale. According to the company's press release, the global conversational AI market is worth $168 billion, with the US customer service sector alone representing $159 billion in opportunities.
What sets Synthflow apart is its no-code approach. While traditional voice AI deployment required specialized teams, hefty budgets, and six-month onboarding periods, Synthflow's platform lets non-technical users create and deploy voice agents quickly. These aren't basic chatbots either – they're designed to be indistinguishable from human voices and can handle complex workflows from customer support to appointment scheduling.
The numbers speak for themselves. Synthflow's AI agents have processed 45 million calls with 99.9% uptime, saved over 5 million contact center operation hours, and answered 35% more calls compared to non-AI operators. With over 200 integrations across calendars, CRMs, and telephony systems, the platform can be implemented rapidly.
Founded by serial entrepreneurs Albert Astabatsyan, Hakob Astabatsyan, and Sassun Mirzakhan-Saky, the company is already working with over 1,000 customers globally. The fresh funding will fuel international expansion, including opening a US office, and further product development.
"Voice agents have been improving rapidly and have never been more cost effective to deploy," said Luca Bocchio, Partner at Accel, highlighting why this Berlin startup caught their attention in an increasingly competitive market.
