A new investment firm has launched in Europe, and it is targeting a gap that most capital structures have so far ignored. Tenet, founded by Sahil Patwa alongside partners Alexander Maly, Martin Janicki, Simon Lohmann, and Igor Linshits, in Berlin is Europe's first inception-stage firm dedicated exclusively to what they call AIPRO: Artificial Intelligence Powered Roll-Outs.
So what is an AI Roll-up, exactly? Picture a fragmented, old-school service industry, think accounting firms, logistics providers, or facility management companies, that has barely been touched by modern technology. Now imagine buying into that space and deploying AI to automate over half the knowledge work, turning low-margin, slow-moving businesses into lean, scalable operations with software-like efficiency. That is the core idea.
In a detailed article laying out Tenet's founding thesis, Patwa explains why existing funding models simply do not work for this type of company at day zero. Traditional pre-seed venture capital is built for SaaS startups chasing exponential growth. Micro-PE and search funds lean heavily on debt and lack flexibility for deep tech investment. AI Roll-ups need something in between, and Tenet was built to fill exactly that space.
The firm is targeting a fund size of €80m and has already raised around a third of that. It plans to deploy cheques of approximately €5m per investment, and has made its first move: a €5m investment in Taxforce, an AI-native German tax advisory platform.
Europe, Patwa argues, is the ideal hunting ground. A shortage of qualified workers, an aging SMB owner population facing succession challenges, and decades of underdigitization across key industries create near-perfect conditions for AIPRO strategies. Tenet is now actively looking for founders building AI-native services companies across the continent.
