Several sources are reporting that Berlin groceries deliverer Flink is receiving an investment sum of around 600 million Euro. This puts Flink’s valuation way upwards of the billion dollar mark, with ESM Magazine even estimating 2.5 billion dollars. Major new investors, with the old ones going along, are in the same game stateside: DoorDash from San Francisco apparently plan to use Flink to get into the European market for food delivery. Flink’s USP is delivering groceries and food orders within 10 minutes, putting them in the overheated “quick commerce” market. The other big name in the same sector, also from Berlin: Gorillas.
